Your Obedience Will Cause God to Remove the Obstacle

ree

The Israelites were facing a mighty challenge. After Pharaoh let them leave Egypt, He realized he had made a big mistake and sent a massive army to destroy them. When they saw them, Israel feared for their lives. With the Red Sea before them and the army bent on their utter destruction behind them, they were at the mercy of God. However, their leader, Moses, talked with God, and He told him to do something ridiculous. The Lord told Moses to move forward, toward the sea.

This does not make sense, but with nowhere else to go, Moses obeys and puts His trust in the Lord. Leaders who depend on the Lord during those times when all odds are against them will never live with regrets. His obedience to God caused a tremendous move of God on behalf of Israel, while everything that could go wrong for the Egyptians did.

The Red Sea split and turned into the most gorgeous waterfall eyes have ever seen, while their enemies faced all sorts of troubles. However, had it not been for the faith and obedience of Moses, their outcome would have been awful. Dear One, whatever your Red Seas crisis is, the mountain will not move until you trust and obey God. Proverbs 3:5-6 encourages us to trust in the Lord and not lean on our understanding or knowledge. He will guide us to the safe harbor He designed for us.

Like Moses, who knew He could not make it without the Hand of God in their situation, Beloved, when you realize your Red Sea will not part until you obey and step forward despite what is before you, you will gain the victory. My Friend, your obedience will cause God to remove the obstacle, and He will work a miracle as He did for His people.

The Lord looked down on the Egyptians from the pillar of fire and cloud, and everything that could go wrong for them did. He told Moses to stretch out his hand over the sea, and it covered the entire army of Pharaoh, while all of Israel walked on dry land. Their God saved them, and they saw their enemies lying on the seashore. He is the same God who will rescue and protect you, too. (Exodus 14:24-31).

I pray that Keep Holding On, by Jeremy Rosado, stirs your heart because God did it before, and He will do it again.

TIME FOR REFLECTION: What problems can arise when people allow their obstacles to interfere with faith in God?
