Accepting God’s Answer When It’s Hard

... but He has said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you [My lovingkindness and My mercy are more than enough—always available—regardless of the situation]; for [My] power is being perfected [and is completed and shows itself most effectively] in [your] weakness.” Therefore, I will all the more gladly boast in my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ [may completely enfold me and] may dwell in me. (2 Corinthians 12:9).  

As I sat outside in the park earlier today, I prayed for those who are waiting for a turnaround. Whether it is for their situation or someone else’s, they need a miracle. Oh, what a blessing it is to accept God’s answer.

My friend, God’s grace is sufficient. However, it is not the absence of hardships but His strength to endure. Whether your struggles turn in your favor or bring results you do not want, Paul knew that, whatever his circumstances, when he was weak, the strength of God was more powerful than his weakness.

When you are most vulnerable, that is when it works at its full potential. So, you can boast and say, when I am not at my best, when the pain is unbearable, and I cannot see a way out, the power of God rests on me and brings me peace.

Dear One, when misfortune happens and we wait for God’s answer, whether we receive the outcome we asked for or the one we hoped not to receive, Lord, comfort our hearts and bring us peace that makes no sense. Strengthen us to accept Your answer, even when it is hard for us to do so.
