No Soul is Impossible for Jesus to Redeem

But Jesus looked at them and said, “With people [as far as it depends on them] it is impossible, but with God all things are possible.”

Jesus always took time and explained to His disciples His most profound insights, so they might understand what mattered most. In this beautiful lesson, He teaches them that our most treasured possession is our relationship with Him and not the pursuit of wealth and prosperity. Most people relate this scripture to facing challenging circumstances. And He does change our impossible circumstances into something beyond our imagination. However, when you read it, Jesus was addressing the rich young man who missed the point when Christ told him to give all his possessions to those in need.

Though Jesus does not oppose obtaining riches, He knew that wealth may impede one’s faith and, in and of itself, cannot save anyone. And someone with riches may not recognize their need for a Savior; Christ still extends grace to them, too. Because it is by grace through faith we are saved. (Ephesians 2:4-9, ESV). Dear One, nobody is beyond redemption because He sacrificed His life for all humanity. However, when you hold too tightly to things that are less valuable than your relationship with Christ, you will lose your most treasured possession. Still, Jesus will never give up on you even when you reject Him.

Besides, righteousness cannot be attained through the law, nor by our confidence in ourselves, or wealth, but by our reliance on the mercy and grace of God. (Galatians 2:20-21). Even Job 25:4 echoes a profound question: How then can man be in the right before God? How can he who is born of woman be pure? While this may be impossible for man, with God, no soul, your self-reliance, or worldly pursuits are beyond His power to deliver you and set you free.

Dear One, our only hope is Jesus because no amount of money, possessions, or efforts can open the gate to the kingdom of God. That only comes through your readiness to repent of your sins, believe in Him, and embrace Him as your Savior. As John 3:16 declares: “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. Will you accept Jesus today? Or will you reject Him for treasures which can cause you to lose your most precious possession?

I pray the song, King of Heaven by John Reddick, stirs your heart and causes you to praise Him.
