The Christmas season is an opportune time to let God heal those wounds of the past. Sometimes, you get stuck in a moment when someone has hurt you. The enemy uses this to play a horror movie in your mind. You even move on and achieve new heights. But no matter how successful you become, it does not make up the void in your heart. Or you become so bitter it prevents you from the life of purpose God intended you to have. It is what the enemy desires because He comes to steal, kill, and destroy. (John 10:10, ESV).
Time keeps moving on, and before you know it, years have passed. Still, you are not speaking to someone you love. You want to reach out, but every time you go to do so, you feel it is too late. Or you convince yourself you do not deserve forgiveness. Likewise, pride prevents this because you believe the one who did the offense should make the first move for reconciliation.
My dear Friend, this holiday season is the perfect time to confront your fears and do what you know you need to do. Go, search for that lost soul because they are longing for you as much as you long to see them. Do not let another day pass by without trying to restore this broken relationship. The Lord wants to mend your family back together again. The process begins with forgiveness and letting go of the pains from the past. The Bible says He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds. (Psalms 147:3). Let this be the year to take the initiative to reconcile and recover what the devil stole. (Colossians 3:12-13). Your family does not belong to him. God created it to be an example of who He is on earth. Beloved, saturate each other with His grace, mercy, and unconditional love. Your family will never be the same.
I pray this song, The Family Prayer Song by Maranthan Singers bless you and your family.
OUESTION FOR REFLECTION:
The adversary enjoys keeping families in conflict and turmoil. Why shouldn't we allow our disagreements to separate us?
