Today, I Choose To ...

Choose to rejoice this very day!
Choose to rejoice this very day!

Psalms 118:24, ESV states; This is the day that the Lord has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it. Every day, we earn the opportunity to make choices. Whether good or bad, those choices we make will come with consequences. Dear One, choose wisely because one wrong choice can have lasting effects.

  1. So, I can complain or rejoice. I choose to rejoice because from the rising of the sun to the setting of the same, the Lord is to be praised. (Psalms 113:1-9).

  2. I can be glad or angry. I choose not to allow whatever happens to annoy me. So, when I am angry, I will not sin. Nor will the sun go down before I apologize. In other words, I will not let anything make me dishonor God. So, Beloved, I will not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good. (Ephesians 4:26-29; Romans 12:21).

  3. I can be discouraged or encouraged. I encourage myself as David did. Likewise, the Lord wants us to encourage and build one another up. So, I will make you feel better and not worse. That’s how much I love you. (1 Samuel 30:1-6; 1 Thessalonians 5:11, AMP)

  4. I can be negative or positive. I choose to be positive and not permit any negative or foul words to come from my mouth. Everything I say is good to help and build others up. My words are seasoned with grace and encouragement to those who hear. (Ephesians 4:29, NLT)

  1. I can be thankful or ungrateful. I am grateful because I acknowledge that I do not control all things. Nor will I become anxious, but give God my troubles, then bless the Lord and never forget the marvelous things He has already done for me. God will do it again. (Philippians 4:6-7; 1 Thessalonians 5:18; Psalms 102:3, ESV).

My Friend, together, let us choose to show the world the grand blessings of rejoicing every day, despite whatever happens.
