Starting where I am Trusting God to do What I Can’t
Beloved, you have something that will change that situation. You believe it's best to wait until the circumstance gets better. God has you with what you need to turn it around. He does not require everything to be perfect. The Lord asks you to trust Him to do the impossible through you. You are at the precise place and; time Christ knew you would be. Beloved, start there and use what He’s given you.
Moses had a staff. There was nothing special about it and, it had no magical powers. The Lord gave Him specific instructions, and He complied. They reached the Red Sea; the Pharaoh’s chariots were pursuing them. With a massive enemy behind and the vast ocean before them, they had nowhere to go. God gave their leader an unusual command. “15 The Lord said to Moses, “Why do you cry to Me? Tell the sons of Israel to move forward [toward the sea]. 16 As for you, lift up your staff and stretch out your hand over the sea and divide it, so that the sons of Israel may go through the middle of the sea on dry land.” (Exodus 14:15-16, AMP). He obeys and stretches his hand over the sea. The Lord disturbs an east wind. It creates a seabed making it possible for His people to pass on dry ground. The enemy continues the chase. But God established their fate before the Israelites left Egypt. In the early morning hours; God looks down on the Egyptians and puts them in a state of confusion. He even makes their wheel on the chariots impossible to turn. They realized the God of Israel was the true and living God. The Lord tells Moses to stretch out his hand over the sea. He does. The waters close over the Egyptians and sink them. Not even one survived. (vs 21-30). The Lord saved His people. They recognized how awesome He was. They feared Him which, means they gave Him reverence and awe-inspired respect. (Vs 30-31).
Therefore, start where you are. Make use of what you have. This would include your talents, ingenuity, creativity, and wisdom. Open your mouth to reveal those incredible ideas. They are what someone needs. Do what you can. Apply the knowledge with the expertise and trust God to do what you can’t. He will astonish you!
I pray the song, Surrounded by Michale W. Smith stirs your heart and faith in God.
