Season 7 Episode 12 –The Lord Made Today to be Enjoyed
My niece sent me a quote this morning that said, "A peaceful morning doesn't promise an easy day, but it gives your heart a stronger place to begin.
Now, this may sound good to most people. However, my perspective is different. So my reply to her was Psalm 118:24: This is the day that the Lord has made, and I shall rejoice and be glad in it.
Dear One, God has already ordained this day. He knows the beginning through the end. So, I can rejoice and be glad in this day. He has already provided everything we need for today. He knows all about the unexpected. He provides clarity within the confusion. God has the solution to that decision before it even forms. You didn't even know you had to make that decision. But God has already supplied the answer.
He knows what you have to face at work, but guess what? God is already there and has worked it out for your good. Therefore, you can rejoice and be glad today. None of us can control how this day unfolds, but we can choose how we respond to whatever happens. And I choose to rejoice and be glad today.
Dear One, this quote might make you expect a hard day; however, Psalm 118:24 eliminates that by reminding us that God created today. And James 1:17 (ESV) reminds us that every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shadow due to change.
God did not create today for you to be miserable, anxious, or afraid. He wants you to rejoice and be glad and trust Him to get you through today.
When this Word of God came to me, it was 6:58 am and it was cloudy. So what if it rains? I shall rejoice and be glad in it.
So what if something unexpected happens? Still, I can rejoice and be glad today.
So, what if you receive bad news? God has you. He says to cast all your cares on Him. (1 Peter 5:7).
My Friend, we are not making light of your feelings, fears, or anxieties. However, news reports, challenges, or hardships are not too difficult for God to solve. Dear One, this morning is peaceful because I can't live a day without the Lord. It is not about what will happen, but about God, who holds today in His hands. Every hour, every minute, and every second, God is an ever-present help. (Psalms 46:1, AMP). He promises never to leave nor forsake you. So, quote Psalm 118:24 and enjoy today. Make a song out of it!
God loves you-you mean the world to Him!
