Some things in life call for us to wage war against the enemy and take back what he stole. It is what David and the men did when they came home to Ziklag and discovered the enemy had captured their wives and children. Likewise, they had burned the city. (1 Samuel Chapter 30, AMP). David and his men cried until they had no more strength to. These men even thought about killing David, and he became distressed. Suddenly, something happened that the enemy did not foresee. David remembered the incredible record he had with God, and he encouraged himself and prayed to the Lord. He asked if he should go after those who had taken his people. God assured him that not only to do so but that he would recover all.
I do not know what your battle feels like. And I have no idea what you are going through. Still, I know God is the same today, tomorrow, and forever. He does not lie, and nothing is impossible for Him. Still, David used a strategic plan and went into the territory and saved his people from the death sentence of the Amalekites. Beloved, it is time for you to ask God to anoint your hands and feet and send His angels raining down on the battlefield.
I know what it is like to face your fears. I told the story of being stalked and how I was ready to comfort my stalker. The Lord did not want me to live in fear, but He knew I had to face those fears. When I got the courage to do so, He worked it out so that I never had to put myself in harm's way. His plan was the best plan. As He did for David, He did for me, and guess what? The Lord will do the same for you.
By now, you should be tired of the devil messing with you. And mad at him for stealing from you. Promise that he will not get one more thing from you because you are waging war against the enemy. It is time to go into battle and fight the good fight of faith. (1 Timothy 6:12). You have a weapon of power who lives within in the form of the Holy Spirit. Beloved, you are ready for the battle, and get ready to win. You cannot be defeated because no weapon formed against you shall prosper. (Isaiah 54:17). The devil is a defeated foe, and you will recover all.
I pray the song, Waging War by Cece Winans stirs your heart.
