God Will Get You Through This

Some events in life are so tremendous you do not see how you will get through it. It is so unexpected; you cannot believe it happened. Your initial reaction may be to question God or, even worse, to blame Him. What do you do when misfortunes turn your world upside down? You prayed and believed for a better outcome than the one you received. When the answer of God is far different than what you asked, Beloved, keep trusting the Lord because He will get you through this.

Isaiah 55:8-9 reassures us that His ways and thoughts are higher than ours. You wrestle with faith when you do not understand how God could allow something like this to happen. Why does the wicked seem to prosper when the righteous suffer? Why did someone die when God could have healed them? The answer lies in His ways being higher than ours. And though His thoughts are not like ours, how precious they are of us and outnumber the sand. (Psalms 139:17-18).

He saved Daniel from being eaten by lions, yet He allowed Stephen to be stoned. (Daniel 6:15-28; Acts 7:54-60). The Lord chose Esther as Queen to save her people from disaster while others suffered terrible fates, though He could have saved them. (Esther 2:8-9; 16-18; 4:13-14; Hebrews 11:32-40). And the greatest question yet is why did God allow His only Son to die for humanity. Still, He did so that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have everlasting life. (John 3:16). My Friend, God relates with your pain because He has been through it too.

You may not understand what you are going through, but it is all part of God’s grander plan. It is a plan that will make a way when everything looks hopeless. There is always a purpose for everything that happens and His ways are higher than what is on the surface. We only see a glimpse when He sees the end and the Lord is mightier than whatever you are going through. God thinks far into our future to bring us an expected end while simultaneously, working all things out for our greater good. (Jeremiah 29:11).

I pray that the musical selection, There Is A God by Phillips, Craig, and Dean, comforts your heart and helps you understand that in your hurts, He won't let you walk through this valley alone.
