God Replaces Stress with His Blessings

Updated: Jul 10, 2023

The dictionary defines stress as a; state of mental or emotional strain caused by adverse circumstances. It can cause emotional and mental anguish to the point of exhaustion. Some of us deal with stress well, while others allow it to control our lives. How we handle it depends on who we are. Likewise, where we are in our faith in God. With these uncertain times, we all have encountered some form of stress.

Stress, anxiety, and discouragement …. are trying to take over our lives. Here’s the thing, none of these were part of God’s plan. He came to give us life more abundantly. Somewhere, in the grand scheme of things, life got messy, and joy was replaced with sorrow. Faith was overtaken by doubt; while discouragement overloaded our minds. Fear would not be left out, so you start overthinking, which causes you to meditate on the worst-case scenario. Then fear gripped you and made you believe things are worse than seen and they will never get better. During these; times of things going from bad to worse, these beliefs become more powerful than you can bear, and you find yourself stressed. My Friend, you cannot fix this on your own, but when you surrender your circumstances to the Lord, you will experience His peace.

In Philippians 4:6-7, He encourages us; do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. 7 And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. The Lord does not like it when we are worried and filled with despair. Still, He can use stress to strengthen us and mold our character. So, turn your worries into worship and thanksgiving. It builds your faith in Him, rather than causes you to lose hope and give up. He wants you to know, He is working behind the scenes and turning things in your favor.

So, while you are in this situation, give Him thanks, thrust your burdens on Him, and He will come and save you. (1 Thessalonians 5:18, 1 Peter 5:6-7, Isaiah 35:4). Though it looks hopeless, those stressful times are about to exit your life. And when you do not know what to do, like Jehoshaphat, keep your eyes on Him who did it before and will do it again. (2 Chronicles 20:5-13). He cannot withhold anything good from anybody who walks upright before Him and trusts Him no matter the problem. (Psalms 84:11, AMP). The Lord replaces such days with exceedingly more than you thought possible. Get ready to receive because stress does not stand a chance against your faith in God.
