See then that ye walk circumspectly, not as fools, but as wise, 16 Redeeming the time, because the days are evil. (Ephesians 5:15-16, KJV)
According to the Bible Hud, the phrase “walk circumspectly” traces back to biblical language emphasizing a life marked by careful, diligent, and wise conduct. (1) In other words, be careful of how you walk and act, or pay attention to your overall conduct. (Proverbs 426).
Redeem every moment. Use your time wisely and as an investment to glorify God in everything you do. You cannot regain any time spent here on Earth. Cherish every hour, minute, day, month, and year as if it were your last breath. Dear One, live as if you will stand before God today. In essence, I am one day closer to leaving this earth now than I was yesterday.
Time is precious and a priceless God-given gift that never ceases; it just keeps going on and on. Each passage of time is continuous, with each minute, second, and hour merging into the next, day after day, month after month, and year after year. Once that moment passes, you cannot get it back.
Beloved, use your time wisely. Think before you speak because the moment you use to lash out, you cannot get those words back. (Proverbs 16:24, ESV).
That time you decided to reject Jesus as your Savior is lost forever, and you may not have another chance. (2 Peter 3:9)
You had a chance to apologize, but refused to; you may never get that opportunity again. (Luke 17:3-4, ESV)
Be sure to see God’s guidance before you make that decision; otherwise, you could live with regrets. Consider the many lives it will affect. (Proverbs 16:9)
Take advantage of every possibility to leave behind a residue of God's love everywhere you go. (1 John 4:8)
Whatever it is, reflect on how you can best use this day the Lord has made to glorify Him. Live as if you will stand before God today. Will you hear Him say Well done, good and faithful child, enter into the joy of the Lord? (Matthew 25:23)
I pray the song "Here Comes The Church" by Tauren Wells stirs your heart to be like the Bride of Christ who stands before Him today.
