Let your light shine before men, that they nay see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven. Matthew 5:16
Life is a gift from God and we should value it at all cost. Never should we take it for granted. With this in mind, life brings many opportunities and blessings. One amazing blessing is meeting people of all walks. Despite their ethnicity, social status, financial portfolio, educational background, etc.; people bring flavor to life. And some are pleasant while others are mean. Some bring enormous joy while others infect the world with pain and misery. In a word, throughout your life time, you will meet and engage with those who are positive and negative.
Most of us love to be associated with those who are positive, cheerful and have a pleasant demeanor. However, we shun being in contact with those who are negative, keep mess going and have a nasty attitude. And, funny thing is …You can be a bright light which reflects the love of God for anyone who is negative.
Here are five essential ways those who are negative responds. However, you can “Shine Bright” for someone who is negative.
Each of us uses our voice in one form or another. And we have the choice to either be negative or positive. Unfortunately, those who are negative has a vocabulary which is filled with “I can’t” – and absolute words such is; “You always’ – “I never “– They even dwell on the negative aspects of your life. And is a constant remainder of such. Thus, the past is never over. In their finite mind, wrong is right and – right is wrong. They’ll take whatever is pure and beautiful and make it appear to be dark and ugly.
Those such as these are certain to turn the truth into a lie. And, in their opinion, their word is law. It has to be their way or no way at all. And such are very influential in manipulating the minds of those closest to their heart. They will convince these innocent ones that they were the one offended and they are the victim. And will prey on those with a low self-esteem to gain their trust, only to deceive and destroy their life.
Because you see life from the eyes of God, you realize; “you are what you think you are. “ Since you know your thoughts and words are powerful, you choose to think positive. Even when you become weary, you fed yourself hope. Therefore, you can be an example who teachers others to look over their history with the Lord. You are just the person to remind them to be assured that if He did it before, He will so it again for nothing is too hard for the Lord. Thus, you help others learn how to relax and enjoy life. Take a walk. Change the atmosphere and surround yourself with like-minded people. Stay connected to those who are constantly speaking faith.
2. Affix Blame
Those who are negative will not accept responsibility for their actions. Affixing blame comes quite natural to them. It’s always, someone’s’ else fault. In their eyes and finite mind, they are always right and never wrong. However, you can be a beacon for negative people because you are known to accept responsibility for your actions. The fact is that you are sensitive to what others may perceive as short comings. Your patience and kindness, though not tolerant, can touch their heart. Thus, you’re showing them the all-important means to stop fighting and resisting the need to change.
