In honor of the National Day of Prayer
Father, thank You for how You have lavished Your love upon us. The past two years show the condition of the hearts of people. Still, we have seen the evidence of Your love that shines brighter than the sun as it spills out in acts of kindness, mercy, and grace. It reminds us that God is All-Powerful and is mighty to save. (Zephaniah 3:17).
We speak to nations to love as Christ loves us without no hidden agenda. Respect those with values and customs different from yours as you become a beacon of light. Do not allow fear to rule your heart because there is no fear in love, but perfect love casts out fear. (1 John 4:18). Fall on your knees, repent, surrender to God Almighty and allow Him to transform you by renewing your mind. (Romans 12:2). Dear Friend, serve and make unpopular decisions for the better good of the public.
We speak to leaders to live in integrity and choose truth over error and right from wrong. Cross personal preferences and biases and make unpopular decisions that change lives even when the majority oppose you. Be an example of who God is and prove you have the people’s best interest at heart with no inequality. Stand firm for righteousness despite the consequences. Let nothing separate you from the love of God. (Romans 8:38-39).
We speak to families to shatter the spirit of separation that comes to steal, kill, and destroy. (John 10:10). Empty yourself of bitterness hostility, and anger. Beloved, show kindness, be tenderhearted, and forgive when it is the hardest thing to do. (Ephesians 4:31-32). Let love overrule in your heart as empathy pours from your soul. Allow compassion to take over while being an example of grace. Be aware that the enemy hates families and will do all to devour yours. So, give respect without having favorites, Beloved, think before you speak, and put the well-being of others above yours. (Philippians 2:3-4).
The power of darkness cannot stand against a unified nation that is drenched in the goodness, mercy, grace, and love of Jesus Christ. So, we speak to the stronghold, be broken, and let us leave behind a residue of God’s love everywhere we go.
