This is the day that the Lord has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it. Psalms 118:24, ESV
In the beginning, God created this world that was unformed and void. He made life from one Word. On each day, he produced something unique out of nothing. First, God said; Let there be light. And it was so. He separated the light from the darkness calling it Day and Night. Then there was evening and morning, the first day. (Genesis 1:1-5). The next day, He designed a dome in the middle of the water. He divided the water under it from the water above it. He declared this Heaven. Then came the dry land on the third day. He formed the vast seas and tiny ponds. God called forth seed-producing plants, grass, and trees yielding fruits of their nature. He continued on day four by making two glorious lights. The larger one rules the day, while the smaller controls the night and the stars. They are for seasons, days, and years.
On day five, God brought life to the oceans with sea creatures, gigantic whales, every bird with wings to fly. He commanded them to multiply and fill the waters with life. The birds were too multiple too. On the sixth day, he gave life to the cattle and every crawling and wild beast after their kind. He preceded by forming man and woman in His image. The Lord gave them dominion over everything. Everything He created was perfect. So, on the seventh day, God rested, blessed, and made it holy and for His glory. (Genesis 1:1-27; 2:1-3). After each glorious formation, God rejoiced and declared good. Everything was where it belonged and served its purpose. Even man and woman were in sync with the Lord’s heart and divine plan.
Every day, God blesses us with 24 hours, and each one has a past, present, and future. Your time before now held those hours you have used for whatever purpose. It consists of those issues you have encountered and hopefully has gained valuable lessons. The present is now and everything you are handling. But something on the horizon awaits you. These are those occurrences that are yet to come. What you do with each moment rests in your hands. Each decision, whether good or unwise, shall show on your demeanor and how your day unfolds. These choices affect not only you but those around you as well. They will influence you in ways you never grasped, and some could last a lifetime. So, think before you act and ask God to guide your steps. Direct my steps by your word. Do not let any sin dominate me. (Psalms 119:133, NET). When you are unsure of what to do today, do not make haste decisions. Seek the will of God because He can lead you on the right path.
Now, no two days are the same, and despite your plans, each one comes with something that may cause frustration. But every day we can choose to rejoice and be thankful. God knows the beginning to the end. He has ordained it before the dawn of time. Nothing you face is without His knowledge. Everything unexpected, regardless of what it is, will not get past Him. He has the answer before anything came into existence. He is encouraging us to have the best day ever. At this moment, God compels everybody to respect and enjoy their day. We can’t change what happened, nor are we aware of what will be. Our wisest choice is to make the best of what is before us each minute.
The Lord created this hour with knowledge of what you need to do. He knows your plans before you made them. Every appointment, the problems you ponder, even your worries, are before Him. You don’t have to fret over anything because each day has enough troubles of its own. (Matthew 6:33-34). Even your anxieties add burdens God never intended you to carry. So, God bless you with this day to delight in it. He knows your routine, indeed your schedule. You have the fortitude for what you must do. There is no need to allow anything to fill you with stress because faith in God can calm you through each phone call, interruption, and the unforeseen. Even if you grow fainthearted, you shall face those fears because the Lord is with you. He never designed it for any force of the enemy to overwhelm you, but you to be more than a conqueror through Christ Jesus.
Beloved, everything you do, carry it out with enthusiasm. Stay focus and don’t become confused by the mundane activities and issues. Something sent them to distract you, while others to discourage you. If you did something wrong, take responsibility and accept the consequences while gaining from this experience. Don’t start overthinking either, because that will only make matters worse. Think about the good while putting forth your best effort. He’s not expecting perfection but to put your concerns in His hand. (1 Peter 5:7). He formed this day before the beginning of time, so entrust it to the Lord, and you’ll experience an extraordinary day. God engraved each day on His heart and proclaimed it as good even if something goes wrong. So, rejoice and be glad in it. Beloved, enjoy this day.
