Rest in God’s Love When Circumstances Scares You

The reports say these are unprecedented times. This virus has taken your normal way of living and turned it into a season you don’t like. You would give anything to be in the presence of that annoying boss or co-worker you dislike. Now you don’t know when you’re returning to work. Speaking to someone you haven’t spoken to in years seems senseless compared to those who can’t even visit their loved ones in the hospital. The news bombards your mind with the worst-case scenario. You see no sign of this situation getting better. You even wonder where is God in all this madness. Besides, He can speak one word and everything will go back to normal. Strange how these unusual moments help you see life from a different perspective.

Beloved, when circumstances appear bigger than the Lord, edging you to be scared and hopeless, you must rest in God’s love. (Psalms 62:5-8, AMP). It’s your safe harbor from the distractions of the world.

The Greek word for rest is anapano an-ap-ow’ to refresh, take ease, give, take rest.

Beloved, I beckon you to come to Me and find rest. I don’t want you weighed down with a heavy burden. Because I love you, I carry all your concerns and have provided the answer. “Blessed be the Lord, who bears our burden day by day, The God who is our salvation! Selah. (Psalms 68:19). This is why I command everyone to thrust all their problems on Me. (1 Peter 5:7). There’s’ nothing you’ll ever face that too hard for Me to solve. I’m greater than Goliath and has conquered the enemy. Come, rest my child from the cares of this life. There in my sweet presence, you’ll find the peace that makes little sense. (Philippians 4:7).

I pray the song; Rest by Bob Fitts encourages you.
