Renew Your Mind and Embrace Change

Beloved, you have made promises to yourself for the New Year, though you won’t change. It’s your desire for this to be the finest one ever. The preceding year didn’t turn out as you had hoped, so, you expect this time period will be more productive, prosperous, and delightful. Though someone views these as unrealistic expectations; it doesn’t take a new era to change. This needs a transformation in your mindset.

Mindset is defined as a mental attitude or inclination.

What you think about yourself plays a pivotal role in how your manner of life turns out. For as he thinks in his heart, so is he [in behavior—one who manipulates]. (Proverbs 23:7, AMP). A new year won’t create a new you when your philosophy of life is doing things the same way; while expecting a different outcome. Beloved, nor shall it propel you to a higher level. Sure, you could achieve more goals, earn a better salary, believe you’re a good person and fine as you are. You could even establish more relationships, but continuing those same beliefs, thoughts, and behavior renders the same results. Blaming others for those misfortunate events that were because of something you keep doing doesn’t bring healing or restoration. Continuing in repetitive behaviors that ignite arguments, destroys relationships and creates dysfunction will not improve your life. What are you willing to surrender to change?

Beloved, a healthy mentality opens access to wholeness and progressive life of victory. It’s also good for your physical, mental, and psychological well-being. Such a change in your mindset decreases stress and help you cope better with life. This refuels your way of thinking and how you perceive life. When you learn to accept responsibility for decisions or choices, you made which brought unnecessary distress; you make adjustments and choose a different path. You even gain a higher level of inspiration while opening your eyes to endless possibilities. A change in thinking helps you see you can develop skills to change what you once saw as normal and acceptable. Also, you no longer see challenges as a setback but use knowledge and abilities to improve the quality of your life. God wants to set you free and start a new thing in you. Let this be the year you help heal your heart, mind, and soul to change, grow, and allow the Lord to transform you by the renewing of your mind. (Romans 12:2).
