One Touch of God’s Favor Changes Everything

Updated: 2 days ago

The bowl of flour was not exhausted nor did the jar of oil become empty, in accordance with the word of the Lord which He spoke through Elijah. (1 Kings 17:16, AMP).

Timing is an important process. If we rush the process, it could cause unexpected problems we never thought possible. Still, when we trust in God’s timing, it opens the floodgates of heaven. However, this requires patience, faithfulness, and unwavering trust in Him. The widow of Zarphaeth, the Israelites wandering in the wilderness, and even your own story highlight the significance of timing. At the Red Sea, they faced an impossible situation, but when God’s favor showed up, everything changed.

What does your Red Sea look like? Is it a mountain of debt? Is it a diagnosis that has left you hopeless? Is post-election stress causing you despair? Are you overwhelmed by an uncertain future? Whatever it is, stay faithful and look to God, who is mightier than the challenges you face. Reflect on your past unbelievable record with Him and be assured that He will do it again. There is nothing that we go through that His grace cannot take us through victoriously.

It only takes one touch of God’s favor to change anything. That one touch showed up for Israel in a series of God’s divine protection and provision. For the widow of Zaphareth, it was the bowl of flour and a jar of oil that never ran out until its due season. For David, it was one smooth stone and his fearless faith. (Exodus 14:19-31; 1 Kings 17:7-16; 1 Samuel 17:41-52). What do you have that guarantees victory? Will you remain steadfast, or will your doubts cause you to become impatient and give up? Will you trust and obey the Lord, or rush the process and complicate everything? Dear One, His grace truly is sufficient to sustain us. So, stay calm, rest in His presence, and watch His favor change everything.

I pray the musical selection What If by Consumed by Fire stirs your heart to never give up on your miracle.
