The Bible tells us it is impossible to please the Lord without having faith. “But without faith, it is impossible to [walk with God and] please Him, for whoever comes [near] to God must [necessarily] believe that God exists and that He rewards those who [earnestly and diligently] seek Him.” (Hebrews 11:6, AMP). Somehow, anything people do, they believe we should contribute it to their strength. They even convinced faith rest upon themselves and not in the power of God. This is a misconception because; in one’s finite mind, they see themselves as all-powerful with superior knowledge. Their pride and arrogance have misled them to believe they don’t need God. Some say He doesn’t exist. When they view all the vast accomplishments of their hands, they credit such success to their abilities. So, they boast and expect reverence. Instead of being humble and grateful, they showcase it to all to gain recognition. This is their downfall; which leads to shame and destruction.
But Beloved, faith has nothing to do with me. It’s not about what I am, what I’ll achieve, any future matters, nor feelings. And faith isn’t accounted for what I know. It’s about who Christ is and what He has done. This is for all He’s doing for me. And anyone who believes otherwise; their faith is in the flesh instead of the Lord. Outside of God, we are nothing and can do anything. And because of what faith is, I have an astounding history with my Lord and Savior. Faith does not boast and pays tribute to itself. It won’t show off its splendor for all to glorify. But it acts in union with God’s Word and shifts attention to who He is. It the evidence of those unseen and the impossible events in life to come to pass. (Hebrew 11:1). Faith points out what we hope for in the direction of Christ. Never underestimate what faith in God does because it’s relentless and assures the victory.
