A valuable gift life provides is the freedom of bonding with humanity. God grants us moments of fellowship, sharing, and speaking life into the lives of others. In a world where most use their words to hurl insults, taunt, and embarrass someone, hearing expressions of inspiration could spark a movement society needs. “A soothing tongue [speaking words that build up and encourage] is a tree of life, But a perversive tongue [speaking words that overwhelm and depress] crushes the spirit.” (Proverbs 15:4, AMP). Listening to the voices in your head that reminds you of prior mistakes, your failures, and making you think you don’t measure up inhibits you from being who God created you to be. This drains you of joy. You forget who you are and your capabilities. My Friend, refuse to accept what the naysayers are saying. Even when somebody tells you what you can’t do; you have the power to prove them wrong. You shouldn’t define yourself by past actions, your struggles nor nothing intended to defeat God’s plan for you. Satan uses these memories to fight against you to steal your identity. The Lord showers you with His grace to remind you who you should be.
You don’t know this; Beloved, greatness lies in you. So, you’re capable of accomplishing the inconceivable. The Lord created you to achieve this. He has equipped you with the techniques, talents, and potential to do what you thought you never could. When thoughts scream no one loves you; scripture reminds you God lavishes His love on you. (John 3:16). If challenges appear impossible, Christ reminds you can do all things through Him. (Philippians 4:13). Guilt and shame attempt to recall to your mind the past, Jesus doesn’t condemn you because He has set you free. (Romans 8:1-2). My Friend, everything He does for you points to a future filled with His promises and triumph. It’s time to be who you’ve been dreaming of becoming. Start by declaring God’s Word over your life every day. Then surround yourself with those who encourage you to live a victorious life.
I am a child of God and adhere to, trust in, and rely on His name. (John 1:12).
I am accepted and I reach out to everyone so they can experience His mercy and show thanks to God (Romans 15:7).
I have the mind of Christ and have the attitude He has and looks to Him as my example (1 Corinthians 2:16; Phillippians 2:5).
I am the temple of the Holy Spirit. I belong to God (1 Corinthians 6:1).
I am greatly loved, God’s Beloved, set apart for His purpose (Romans 1:7, Ephesians 2:4. Thessalonians 1:4).
I am God’s Masterpiece, His workmanship spiritually transformed, renewed, ready to be used for good works. I am who God created me to be (Ephesians 2:10).
I pray the selection; Who You Say I Am by Hillsong stirs your heart.
