In Matthew 4:23-24, the people heard about Jesus and came expecting Him to heal them. When you place your petitions before God, do you expect Him to answer? We all know the power of “word of mouth.” Something happens that compels someone to pass this noteworthy news on. In no time, it spreads like wildfire. It is what happened everywhere Jesus went. In today’s world, we call it trending. Not everyone had seen the evidence, but they believed it because Jesus’ reputation preceded Him.
The Bible says, His fame spread abroad. In every town Christ visited, He left behind healing, deliverance, victory, and His extravagant love. Those who came needed something that required more than any doctor, medicine, or therapy could give them. Desperate and longing for a miracle, they ran to the one true source who could solve their problem. The crowd arrived from many regions, beliefs, and lifestyles. Their purpose for showing up was no other than the yearning for healing. The prerequisite had nothing to do with being a Jew or Gentile; they were only to believe. And they did! Their faith in the Son of God resulted in their healing, wholeness, and victory.
Beloved, what do you want from Jesus today? Are you asking for healing? He heals every form of sickness and disease. Whether this is physical, mental, emotional, or even spiritual, He will come and save you. In this verse, speak whatever your illness is. Call it by name, as I have listed in Matthew 4:24, NASB. Proclaim, I am healed from:
And the news about Him spread throughout Syria; and they brought to Him all who were ill, those suffering from various diseases (arthritis, dementia and Alzheimer’s, diabetes, fibromyalgia, heart and kidney disease, cancer, and even COVID-19). And severe pain, demon-possessed, people with epilepsy, and people who were paralyzed; and He healed them. He did not reject anyone. He did not turn anybody away. He didn’t ask for money. He saw a need and provided a solution.
I dare you to pray this scripture over your condition every morning despite how you feel. Touch and agree with the Lord, and watch Him set you free and heal you. He watches over His Word to perform it and will not break His promise. (Jeremiah 1:12)(Psalms 119:50, CJB). Are you ready to be made whole?
I pray the song; Healer by Kar Jobe stirs your heart.
