I Shall Call Upon the Name of the Lord

Psalms 91:15, KJV; He shall call upon me, and I will answer him: I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him, and honour him.

First of all, God says you will call upon me. God is handing you an exclusive invitation to call upon Him. It's all about you because He cares deeply for you. And He assures you that He will answer. Dear One, God is listening, waiting for you to call out to Him because He inclines His ear to your cries, according to Psalms 88:1-2 and 116:1-2, AMP.

No matter how many others are simultaneously calling out to Him at the same time, God can distinguish your voice from any other, while at the same time receiving their call. No switchboard can handle as many calls as the Almighty can.

What's His name, y'all? His name is Jesus, and He wants you to call Him during those troublesome times.

In other words, He is right there walking beside you. The Lord is with you through the trouble. Whatever the trouble it is. Is it financial distress, or an uncertain economy? Health-related issues—problems with family or situations on the job. Are you affected by the troubles in the world? He is with you, no matter what your challenges or struggles are. He's beside you. The Lord keeps a watchful eye on you. The Lord will not allow anything or anybody to distract Him because you are that important to Him.

Notice that Jesus said that He is with you in troublesome times. He did not say that He would leave you or abandon you. Dear One, that means that you are not alone. He did not say He would ignore you, nor that the Lord does not hear you. He's not telling you, "leave me alone. I don't want to be bothered. Get away from me." Beloved, God is pleading with you to come near to Him, let Him embrace you in the warmth of His arms.

Then He goes on to say that He will deliver you and honor you, meaning that you need to stop fighting a battle God has already won.

Let Him celebrate you. He will throw you a party, because you already have the victory. Let's celebrate Neat (put your name here), because you made it through, although you are actually going through. This is too much for you to bear. So, I will bear it for you, then deliver you and make sure you come out victorious in Jesus' Name.

May the song, Evening Song by River Valley worship featuring Bella Stebbins, stir your heart to glorify the Lord.
