Life is a gift, so cherish it. And it gets complicated and messy. Circumstances happen beyond your control. Enjoy each day without waiting for anything to get better. It’s a choice that demands you being content in the season you’re in. (Philippians 4:11). With so much going on, it baffles the mind. Sometimes you must be like a child. Children know how to love life. They don’t ask for a perfect world; they make the best of what they have, laugh, and have fun. They create moments of joy despite the uncertain world in which we live. It’s something many adults have lost sight of.
This virus and quarantine have many worried over the future. They’re hoping the results of the upcoming election will be the answer. Put your trust in God because he sees the end and should be your firm foundation. (Proverbs 3:5-6). Why worry about tomorrow when He holds each day in His hands? (Matthew 6:33-34). Peace won’t come by any other source or movement. Embrace each moment the Lord grants an opportunity to relax and enjoy. Beloved, grab hold of your existence, and have some fun. When something doesn’t turn out to your liking, don’t allow that to discourage you. Amid this process, God’s working behind the scenes.
Since you’re spending more hours with your children, I dare you to join them in an activity of fun. When was the last time you allowed your inner child to come out to play? Maybe this is the perfect day to do so. (Matthew 19:13-14, Ecclesiastes 3:12-13, Hebrews 15:5). I did this often when I taught Pre-K - 2nd grade and Special Education. It thrilled my students when Little Vernita came for a visit. She changed the atmosphere and left a residue of God’s love. Some moments won’t ever come again. So, what are you waiting for? Your children are natural entertainers, comedians, and energetic. They’ll take you on an adventure, and you’ll have the time of your life.
