I'm My Own Motivator

I knew at an early age; God had extraordinary plans for my life. And that was enough inspiration for me. And like David, I won't give up.

When David and the men came to Zigzag, and the Amalekites had burned it and taken the women and children captive, the people were distressed. They spoke of stoning David. They were bitter, and like the custom of the world; they needed someone to blame. And that was their King. But he did something unusual. David encouraged himself in the Lord. He inquired of the Lord, and He instructed David to pursue those who had captured their families and assured him he would overtake the captures and recover all. (1 Samuel 30:1-8). You hoped to have had a greater impact on the world, family, and friends. That career hasn’t gained the status you believed it would have. Some obstructions even delayed your goals; preventing you from moving forward. Sometimes, you must be your motivator when plans don’t turn out as hoped. Something hindered you from being where you thought you would be and this is enough motivation to go after those dreams and goals until you accomplish the task.

You must not allow discouragement and the threats of others to deter you. They don’t want you to succeed. Therefore, they use intimidation to frighten you. Like David, gather up those prayer warriors and spiritual supporters God has placed in your life and invade the enemies camp, and seize what he stole. It doesn’t belong to him, and he can’t have a claim to what the Lord ordained for you. “So, David recovered all that the Amalekites had taken and rescued his two wives. Nothing of theirs was missing whether small or great, sons or daughters, spoil or anything that had been taken; David recovered it all.” (1 Samuel 30:12-13, AMP). Stop hiding behind excuses. When you want, whatever God has for you as much as the Lord desires to bless you with it, you won’t allow any force of the enemy to stop you. Beloved, encourage yourself and go after your family, ministry, dreams, and whatever the devil took. Devour the opposition’s camp, and with boldness and courage; you will recover all because God is with you.
