I Am Who God Says I Am

Since I was a child, I knew that I was different. The word I enjoy using to describe myself is unique. According to the Cambridge Dictionary, it means being the only existing one of its type or, more generally, unusual, or special in some way: (1)
Another word to use is rare. Beloved, I can say that I am rare and unusual because I am who God says I am. I have never been somebody who cares about what others say about me. Whether somebody likes or dislikes me is not how I measure who I am. My Big Mama taught me it was essential to see myself through the eloquent eyes of God. Though she was blind, she never allowed this to define her. She was a devoted servant of God.
Recall how some students teased me when I was in school because of a condition known as lazy eye. They found it amusing to call me Clarence, the crooked-eyed lion. They intended to make me feel unimportant, discarded, and invisible. It did not work because I do not need anybody’s approval to make me feel good.
Honestly, I do not care how anyone feels about me, because I refuse to live to please others. Absolutely nothing you do will satisfy everybody. Most of them will make unrealistic demands. When you fail to meet their expectations, it may leave you feeling that you let them down when they are the ones who let you down.
The Lord has never made anybody feel they do not measure up. Though He accepts you as you are, He does not want you to stay as you are. The Lord wants you to be all He knows you can be. However, the Lord will help you become that without any pressure. Even this message is a way He is speaking to you. God desires us to please Him and not people. The Almighty desires that we seek His approval and not the approval of others. (Ephesians 6:6; Galatians 1:10, AMP).
… not by the way of eye-service, as people-pleasers, but as bondservants of Christ, doing the will of God from the heart, (In other words, I am fully devoted to the Lord.)
For am I now seeking the approval of man, or of God? Or am I trying to please a man? If I were still trying to please man, I would not be a servant of Christ. (Be the best you can be -Do your best in whatever you do, but do not do it to please others)
In this culture where many receive their identity from friends, social media, and living up to the unrealistic expectations of others, I find it too exhausting trying to be somebody I am not. Besides, when you do this, you lose who you should be. And who is that? I am glad you asked. Throughout the Bible, God reassures us of who we are, regardless of what anybody says about us. Here is how God feels about us.
My Sons and Daughters, I love you with an everlasting love. When you do everything right and when you mess up, Beloved, I see you as who I created you to be. You might have made an unwise decision, resulting in significant consequences, but I still see who you should be. That sin that caused you pain and disgrace cannot hold a candle to who I want to be. As far as the east is from the west, I have already forgiven you. And I will always correct those I love because I have a great plan for their lives. (Hebrews 12:6; Jeremiah 29:11).
My child, I still want to use you to do great things. Nothing you have done in your past can stop Me from loving you, and only I can make you everything I desire you to be. Dear One, I will remind you until you finally get it. I know who you are, and I know who you will be. I long for you to embrace who I see you are. Here’s who I see and know you are:
