Beloved, a prolonged season of hardships can stretch your faith and make you doubt the power of God will sustain you. Still, when we look back at His record, He reminds us that He is an ever-present help in times of need. (Psalms 46:1-3, ESV) He kept Noah and his family safe as the rain lifted the ark far above the earth. The flood even prevailed above the highest mountains. The water likewise increased for one hundred and fifty days. (Genesis 6:9; 7:1; 17-24). Still, no harm came to those in the ark because Noah walked upright before the Lord. He is the same today and forevermore.
So, there is no storm that He won’t triumph over and bring you through. Like the parting of the Red Sea, He will help you cross that unpassable bridge. Every time the Israelites obeyed His command, they won the battle. Recall what He did for King Jehoshaphat, Joshua, Gideon, and countless others. The battle belongs to the Lord, and He makes sure you win and come out victorious. And even in the worst heartache possible, encourage yourself with the story of Job. He faced pain and suffering that would have made any enemy shutter. Still, he persevered and never blamed God. Beloved, the Lord will help you overcome any hurt that has damaged your soul. Whatever you are up against today, He is bigger than Goliath. Thrust all your concerns on Him and embrace this day confidently knowing He has your back. (1 Peter 5:7).
