God Says – You Were Worth Dying For

“For God so [greatly] loved and dearly prized the world, that He [even] gave His [One and] only begotten Son, so that whoever believes and trusts in Him [as Savior] shall not perish, but have eternal life. (John 3:16, AMP)
As we prepare for this Resurrection Sunday, Dear One, do you realize that had you been the only people alive on the earth, Jesus would still have died for you? He still would have endured the cruel and exhausting pain from those stripes. (Matthew 27:26). Though His body was broken, bruised—it tore out flesh, He thought you were worth it. (Isaiah 53:5; Matthew 26:26-30). Despite the pain, Jesus would still have allowed the Roman soldiers to nail His hands and feet to a wooden cross.
And still, He did not resist when they hit Him with their fist and even spat on Him. But that was not the end—Christ would have let them press that crown made from thorns onto His head. Likewise, Jesus would yet have risked feeling forsaken by His Father. And even pierce His side with the spear. (Matthew 27:27-31; 46)
Dear One, He loves you so much that Christ feels you were worth dying for. He went to great lengths to save a soul. He even left the ninety-nine to seek and rescue the one that was lost. He says it is not His desire that any would perish, but all would come to repentance. Beloved, Christ made the selfless sacrifice just for you, and would do it again. Come to Him, and He will save you and give you rest. (Matthew 18:10-14; 2 Peter 3:9)
