Studies show when two blades touch, it produces a sharper, more powerful, and efficient blade. (Proverbs 27:17, ESV). The Bible reveals God did not create us to be alone. (Genesis 2:18). Dear Friend, humans can sharpen each other as they interact and build meaningful relationships. No two people are alike, and we could learn much from another person. I believe everyone needs someone who’s not identical to them. They see you in a way you won’t view yourself. It may open your eyes to the truth. Or it could generate obstacles. You have to master how not to permit your emotions to override wisdom and learn from their views.
Influence is compelling. When anybody cares for you, it establishes a bond that makes you a stronger person. With the mutual contribution, we help improve each other. It broadens our perspective and understanding of someone. We each need people who recognize the potential in us and push us past our comfort zone to advance beyond our fears. Those who hold you accountable and correct you when you do wrong enhance the union and keep the relationship safe and flourishing. Even relating to those who are controversial can be productive when you understand celebrating your differences.
It’s important to be careful of who we allow into our circle of life. Some will use their persuasion to redirect us on a trail that impedes our growth and maturity. They can lead somebody to abandon the path of righteousness. (12:36; 1 Corinthians15:33). They’re on a mission from the enemy to abort God’s plan. Beloved, building Christ-centered relationships is vital for our spiritual wellbeing. We get to encourage, admonishing, praying, exhorting, and sharing the Word of God. We become more powerful and useful not merely to ourselves, but the world and the Body of Christ.
