In this mo
dern-day society, dishonesty roams the world as a suit of honor. From the halls of justice to the house of God, integrity is losing ground. The hunger for power and status drives people to do the unthinkable. Making excuses for such actions is fair game. God forbid if you hold someone accountable for their selfless behavior. You’re more likely viewed as a troublemaker and find yourself disbarred from any place they see you as a threat.
Despite how a culture sees you, even somebody who’s underprivileged and walks in integrity is more honorable than the crooked and a fool. Those dealing in unshady work ethics have convinced themselves nobody can touch them. Integrity means nothing to these people because they use every measure necessary to swindle out of such claims. They leave a trail of disgrace and shame everywhere they do business. In this current culture, having strong moral principles isn’t popular, but the fiber that will change the lives of the most unlikely.
You can gain insight from anybody those the proud and haughty look on as nothing of value. Their uncompromising authenticity, despite their plight, builds a foundation of trust, compassion, and mercy. There’s a gentleness about them that’s proof of God’s amazing love. These are those whose footprints in the sand pave the way for hope to burst forth and reveal God’s glory.
