Cherish Each Moment

Updated: Apr 19

Christmas is a remarkable day like no other. Even in preparing for this glorious occasion, somehow, we forget what Christmas is all about. Never has it been the number of gifts you give or receive, but the simple things that are so easy to overlook. If we are not careful, it will be too late to recover them. I know for many, this festive holiday brings sorrow and pain because of the absence of someone you loved so much. No amount of presents or comforting words may bring you peace in such situations. (Isaiah 9:6). I hope in some way this song and scriptures remind you what matters most this season - spending time with family and loved ones.

Cherish each moment you have with them because life is like a vapor. In a minute, without notice, someone could be gone. And there are those family members that are easier to love than others. Still, it is not how they treat you, but more important is you being an example of God’s love to them. (Hebrews 10:25; Luke 6:31). You cannot make up for lost time, so while you have the chance, it is crucial to lay aside any distractions that have put distance between you and your loved ones. Bury the hurt by asking for forgiveness and offering grace because nobody deserves it. Beloved, remember the Lord never gave these gifts only for those you think deserved such. He granted it to us, though we fell short.

This Christmas Day, the gift of His birth lies in our choice to honor Jesus Christ by infesting the world with His extravagant love. (John 15:12). This blessing shall be so enormous that anyone it touches can’t resist passing this on because they will not be able to contain it.

I recommend these films, which I pray to stir your heart and bring you hope. I found them to be stories representing the true meaning of Christmas, Jesus Christ. Merry Christmas to you and your family.
