Lord, help our nation to heal. I pray we will heal from the hurts and pains of the past. Let us recover from the years of those government leaders who made matters worse than better. They said and committed offenses that left this nation in anger, hatred, and more divided. Likewise, they continue to be wise in their own eyes and oppose You. So, deliver us from the turmoil of racism, the scars of black people killed by white cops, and they are not held accountable. Restore us so we can overcome those who use any means necessary to eradicate any race they deem unfit and unacceptable.
We want to overcome inequality, discrimination, and social unrest regardless of those who practice these. Let us overcome hatred and our differences with love. Let the only time we look down on anybody is when we pick them up. Let us celebrate our differences without trying to impose our beliefs, customs, or traditions on others. Let us come to a peaceful resolution when we disagree over anything. Still, we will hold to our values and not compromise our principles. We will honor You in our ABCs, attitude, behavior, and communication. Sometimes, we need to have shut-mouth grace.
Father, transform us by renewing our minds. Let us reposition our heart posture, so You can remove the stony heart and replace it with a heart of flesh. Lord, help us to choose to forgive because love covers a multitude of sins. Love bears all things, hopes all things, and endures all things. Let us be more Christ-like every day and leave behind a residue of Your unconditional love; everywhere we go. In the Matchless Name of Jesus. Amen.
