God loves us more than most realize. He does not retaliate when anybody gets angry and blames Him when awful things happen. Still, every day, countless others reject Him, but it will not stop His mercy from going after them. His patience with each person makes no sense, but it gives everyone time to consider how to mend their ways. Your goodness surpasses our needs and follows us all the days of our life.
Lord, thank You for a New Year which Your grace has given us. I ask Your hand of mercy to spread like wildfire and ease the pain last year brought us. Let salvation visit our loved ones who are wandering in the wilderness. Bring a double portion to those in need. Comfort the hurting and heal their heart. I know their loss touches Your heart. Remove those with a hardened hateful heart and replace them with your extraordinary love.
Do a new thing in our government so they will stop being wise in their own eyes. Tear down pride and arrogance in any official who puts themselves above you. Open the eyes of those whom the devil has blinded. Transform them by renewing their mind.
Restore the passion and spark back in families and relationships as they choose to forgive and treat their household better than how they expect anyone to regard them. Your Word says love bears all things, believes all things, and hopes all things. No matter how hopeless things get, help everybody to trust that You walk with us through any season of life. Lord, we need to hear from You. We humble ourselves and turn from our wicked ways so You can come in and heal the land.
You are not slack concerning Your promises, and Your Word will not return void. You have a plan and are working all things out for our good. Even when anybody does not understand it and wonders where You are in these troublesome times, I choose to believe. There has been pain, sorrow, and brokenness, but I trust You no matter what.
We do not have to carry the burdens of 2020 into our future. God wants us to move forward because He has made all things new. It is not for us to know everything, You are doing. I believe You are working behind the scenes and will exceed our expectations. You love everyone and shall never leave nor forsake us. We proclaim, that no matter what, we will have a blessed and victorious New Year.
