…and [that you may come] to know [practically, through personal experience] the love of Christ which far surpasses [mere] knowledge [without experience], that you may be filled up [throughout your being] to all the fullness of God [so that you may have the richest experience of God’s presence in your lives, completely filled and flooded with God Himself].”

In this passage of scripture, Paul prayers a most profound prayer that is evidence of how much he desires us to enjoy a deep, persistent relationship with God. Such a relationship stems from being secure in God’s love. And within it, we discover what it means to be filled with the fullness of God. The fullness of God comes from experiencing the love of Christ that is incomprehensible to man’s understanding. To know God’s love is to be filled with the fullness of God. To understand this, you need knowledge about the love of God that surpasses a love you never experienced. It’s not about your worthy deeds, how much you give, nor being a faithful member of a church. It’s not even about how much you love the Lord, either. This is a heart that’s sync with a deep love of the Father.
The way Christ loves us makes little sense even to the noblest person. This is because His love is unnatural. It’s not based on what you do for Him. It’s not even about if you obey and serve Him. God’s love isn’t like human love. People tend to love others based on how they are treated. But God loves us, despite how we treat Him. Many have rejected Him. Many blame Him when bad things happen. But that doesn’t diminish how much He loves us. Therefore, His love for humanity is perplexing and difficult for the average human to grasp. This is why the only way to be filled with the fullness of God is through His love. So, when you understand how much He loves you and you respond to that love you’ll be filled with the fullness of God. You’ll experience His presence by the very depth and breadth and extraordinary dimensions of God’s love. The Lord wants you to live at your maximum capacity, deeply rooted in Him. This occurs as you experience His overwhelming love and allow it to saturate your heart, mind, and soul. Then, you’ll experience a full life, full of His peace, health and wholeness, abundance, the fullness of God. When you come to realize how great is His love towards you, you’ll go on to see God do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us. (Ephesians 3:20, NKJV). So, Beloved, allow the Lord to lavish you with His love and experience a love like you never had before.
