God Won't Allow Your past to Determine Your Future

Beloved,

God doesn't define you by your past. Here's the thing, everyone has a past. We all have done something that we regretted. We've made decisions which took us far from the path God had designed for us. Such unwise choices resulted in a period of enduring circumstances that brought undue stress, hardships, suffering, and pain. God looked at us, and His heart aced as He saw our disobedience, stubborn will, and determination to think we knew better than He about our life. He even commissioned others to encourage us along this journey. We were warned, but yet we continued on.

Hence, you’ve found yourself in a place that’s hard to get out. You feel stuck and have become immobile. Dear One, whatever your past was it’s not anymore. It possesses no power over you unless you allow it to. God has placed your past in the sea of forgetfulness. (Micah 7:19). He’s not holding it against you. He genuinely wants you to prosper in every aspect of your life. And He doesn’t need your past’s permission to determine your future. God knew precisely every move you would make before you even gave it a thought. Some of you do the same thing the same way while expecting a different result. This keeps you going around the revolving door of despair. God wants to do something new in you. He desires to take you further than you’ve been before.

“Do not remember the former things, Or ponder the things of the past. 19 “Listen carefully, I am about to do a new thing Now it will spring forth; Will you not be aware of it? I will even put a road in the wilderness, Rivers in the desert. (Isaiah 43:18-19, AMP).

He has thoughts of good and not to harm you. He has plans for peace and your well-being, and not for disaster, to give you a future and hope. (Jeremiah 29:11). He’s here to fulfill your destiny. Beloved, you are not defined by your past. And He’s not waiting on confirmation from your past to propel you into your future and neither should you. God’s going to use the pain, your bad decisions, your past, and even your will to reject Him to become who He created you to be. Your past constantly groans and moans to restrict your thinking. It's a constant reminder of the what you did wrong. Your past is over! He doesn’t use it to determine your future. Therefore, He won't consult with your past for permission to do something amazing with your future. In a word, there's nothing in your past that prevents God from fulfilling His purposefully plan He has for your future. He has something astonishing and is ready to put you on display for the world to behold.

Bless those in need and underprivileged
