Willa Beatrice Brown, Johannes Gutenberg, Amelia Earhart, and President Barak Obama all have something in common… They defied the odds and were the first to leave a mark on the world and accomplish what may have been perceived to be inconceivable.
So, it’s been verbally expressed it can’t be done. No one in our family has ever done that before. You’re the wrong person for the job. Or how about, you’re from the wrong ethnic group. Be that as it may, there always has been a first and there will always be a first to achieve what never has been done before. Someone who’s courageous and goes against the grain and become who God created them to be.
Anyone who embarks to be the first do so with the mindfulness that they will face opposition, discouragement, perhaps rejection, even failure before they are successful. They may be teased and laughed to scorn from individuals who consider them to be less likely to achieve anything. But anyone who desires to be the first also knows that they have to reject the odds against them and venture of their comfort zone. They have to face their fears, take a leap of faith, do what they mentally conceived they never could.
I can do all things through him who strengthens me.
(Philippians 4:13, ESV)
It’s not about what you can do but what God can do through you. It’s your reliance on the Lord as He invigorates you to fulfill the plans and purpose He crafted for your life. God already has given you gifts, skills, potential, knowledge to achieve your dreams. Because it never unfolded doesn’t mean you can’t accomplish it. Don’t permit the individuals who say it can never be possible squash your dreams. Go ahead and trust God no matter what. Beloved, God created you to do the impossible through.
