Never say what anyone won't do. Truth be told, only God knows what an individual won't do. Under certain circumstances, the opportunity will present itself and you will discover what you're really made of. You may even surprise yourself by behaving in a manner you never deemed possible. So, practice self-control, be humble, stay alert and be prepared for the unexpected.
Therefore, refrain from placing others on a pedestal. Stop convincing yourself they are above reproof. We all have faults. Everyone messes up. An individual 's social status doesn't make him better than others. And he's not better than you, either. It's admirable to give applauds but it's unwise to hold someone in such high esteem.
And it’s natural for anyone to desire to feel significant. We all want to be appreciated. Even the desire of recognition for our services rendered is a natural instinct. But when someone struggles for that attention, to be recognized for their accomplishments, and seeking prestige and power, pride has taken over. Thus, it's best to be humble and God will exalt you in due season. 6 Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God [set aside self-righteous pride], so that He may exalt you [to a place of honor in His service] at the appropriate time (1 Peter 5:6). Make yourself of nothing as Jesus did when He was on earth. (Philippians 2). 5-8 Think of yourselves the way Christ Jesus thought of himself. He had equal status with God but didn’t think so much of Himself that he had to cling to the advantages of that status no matter what. Not at all. When the time came, he set aside the privileges of deity and took on the status of a slave, became human! Having become human, he stayed human. It was an incredibly humbling process. He didn’t claim special privileges. Instead, he lived a selfless, obedient life and then died a selfless, obedient death—and the worst kind of death at that—a crucifixion.
9-11 Because of that obedience, God lifted him high and honored him far beyond anyone or anything, ever, so that all created beings in heaven and on earth—even those long ago dead and buried—will bow in worship before this Jesus Christ, and call out in praise that he is the Master of all, to the glorious honor of God the Father. (Philippians 2:7-11, MSG).
Jesus thought of Himself as a lowly humble servant of God. In His humility, God advanced His Son to the highest ranking position in the world. In a word, draw no attention to yourself. In God’s due season and proper time, He will exalt you. He will place you in a position of honor. He will promote you and bring you good success. So, never think more highly of yourself or others than you should. Apply your talents and gifts as an avenue to serve and help others.
