For I know the plans and thoughts that I have for you, 'says the Lord, 'plans for peace and well-being and not for disaster to give you a future and a hope. Jeremiah 29:11
Call me a hopeless Dreamer, but I really do believe that dreams do come true. My Friend, I do not only believe it, I am evidence that dreams come to materialize in ways you never imagined. And if you are interested in becoming a published author of your book, but do not have the finances to afford the traditional publishing company, Beloved, this is your moment! I will help put your book in a dazzling format/layout, enhance it, give advised edits, and assist in getting it to print.
Beloved, this isn't a story about my dreams, it is a challenge to those of you who have a burning desire to see your dreams come true. It is for those who know they have been destined for more than what life circumstances have dealt them. It's for those who are weary in well-doing and you feel like you have come to the end of the line and you're just about to throw in the towel.
And when all hope is gone and you feel like; 'What's the use?'....'Why should I keep trying?' ... 'Why not just give up?'... Beloved, there is always hope and I can assure you that God will make a way where there seems to be no way.
First, let's define what a "DREAM" is – it’s a hope, aspiration, and desire to achieve something.
So, what are your aspirations? What brings you so much joy and overwhelming fulfillment? What drives you to go beyond the norm to accomplish what appears to be impossible? What is it that you need in your life it has become a necessary nutrient? It's your passion. It becomes your reason to continue pursuing and pushing yourself despite how terrible the circumstances are. Beloved, when you discover these answers, you have identified what your dream of becoming is. And that is who you are.
Even years before I published my book, I declared I was an author. I thought as an author, and I wrote like an author. I lived with the expectation that one day the Lord, would turn my dream into my destiny. And if you cannot dwell on anything you would consider doing then which you have been dreaming of becoming dear one, that is who you are.
Every time anybody told Brandon what he would not achieve, he proved them wrong. He excelled beyond their expectations. So, encourage yourself, because if God did this for Brandon and me, He has something greater for you. We are cheering for you!
And if you desire your dreams to come true, but are not sure about what you should do next; here are 4 Fundamental Steps you can follow and watch God do what only He can.
1. It doesn't make no sense faith in God
If you have ever witnessed a supernatural miracle, something you know only God could have made possible. Then you know that there is nothing impossible for Him. This is crucial to seeing your dreams go from an idea or a desire to reality. Your trust in the Lord must be unshakable, no matter what. Now, you may get frustrated, and guess what? That's OK. It is allowed but, it is not the end of the world. Perseverance is a primary factor in achieving what you thought you never could. Be creative, bold, and steadfast in prayer, and step out in faith, because God will go beyond the norm.
2. Write out your plans and goals
Take a moment to write down your dreams. Do you dream of being a dancer? A doctor? An actress/actor? A football player? An Artist? A Teacher? A lawyer? Entrepreneur? An ice skater? An Author? -Whatever it is you've hoped for, as silly as this may sound, write it down. And plan how to go from step A to the last step in achieving your dreams. In a word, set goals that bring you the desired results at reaching them. Then, be willing to acquire the training, any more skills, and knowledge, and put forth the time, commitment, and effort to see your dreams come true.
3. Visualize yourself in action
You must see yourself as what you have been dreaming of yourself to be. Next, articulate it, believe it, research, and discover about it. Provided, that is what is necessary. Get acquainted with someone in that field. And learn from them, if they are conveying sensible advice and sharing sound knowledge. Beloved, act like what you are dreaming of becoming.
4. Pursue Relentlessly
Now, My Friend, this requires discipline, resilience, humility, patience, and determination on your part. If you have read the first book in my series Capturing the Spirit of God’s Word with Vernita, you know that I let nothing, nor anyone deter me from transforming from a single mother on welfare to becoming a published author. If one method does not grant you the answer you need to make your dream come true, then use another path while applying the wisdom of God. However, giving up is not an option! Beloved, obstacles are opportunities you use as a gateway to take you from one step to another to accomplish the plan and purpose God has orchestrated for your life. Never relinquish your faith!
Search for opportunities to apply those skills, talents, and potential God has already given you. Put them to good use, even if you volunteer. That's how I started my writing ministry. First, one day, at the tender age of nine, I wrote a play. Next, I wrote sermons and spoke on platform services. Then, advancing to being a guest speaker. In time, I commented on updates and started publishing on LinkedIn. Over time, that led to becoming a Contributor to (Community Christian Service Workers) - now, the Christian Ministry Academy. And I wrote as a Feature Writer for Faith Filled Family Magazine, whose audience reaches over 150,000. And besides writing those features, I oversaw and interviewed Christian artists.
Among the prominent people I have had the grand opportunity to interview was Screenwriter and Director Cyrus Nowrasteh of the classic movie, The Young Messiah. For our October 2016 issue, I had the honor of interviewing Jackie Patillo, Executive Director of the Gospel Music Association (GMA) for the 2016 Dove Awards. Then, in the December 2016 issue, I spoke to acclaimed Saxophonist, Grady Nicols.
May 2017, Katie Miller, Corporate Communications Manager for Sight & Sound Theaters. Gretchen Keskeys, singer. Adigun Temitayo, President of Wheels of Hope Rising Foundation. The renowned pianist, composer, and producer Paul Cardall. Chris Brown, lead singer of Elevation Worship, and Jon Erwin, Co-Writer and Co-Director of the acclaimed film, I Can Only Imagine, among many others. You can learn of their selfless acts of service in my book, Neat’s Interviews with the Extraordinary.
I had no idea I would have such a significant job. Still, this company took me places, I had never gone before, and I enjoyed the journey. And I know, without a doubt, something astonishing came out of my time, effort, and service. Then I resigned in January 2020 and ventured out on my next incredible adventure of hosting my Podcast Show. God is up to something beyond reason and because of what He has done for me, now, it is my time to help someone else to become a published author. Beloved, you do not have to wait for your current circumstances to change, or your finances to improve. The Lord has made a way out of no way through me. Perhaps, you do not dream of becoming a published author. However, if you need encouragement or prayer, contact me. Go for It!
