Happy Thanksgivings, Beloved!
We all face challenges and circumstances which sometimes test us to the limit. However, the test isn't the problem. It's how we respond to our circumstances which teaches us great lessons. Wheteher we learn from such lessons is something entirely different.
You see - far too often complaining takes over reasoning and you find yourself overwhelmed with despair, spinning out of control by doubt. In such a state of mind and preflexity, you can't think straight. You'e not focus on the good within your circumstanes. All you see is the bad. When the bad overshadows the good, you linger unnecessairly in turmoil and anguish. Certainly, it is more benefical to focus on the good in the midst of all the bad.
Despite your current circumstances, there is always someone else whose problems are far worse than yours. You may not think that because in your eyes you're saying; "Nothing can be worse than what I'm going thru." Beloved, this is why it's necessary to maintain an attitude of gratitude. In so doing, you'll discover tthat you'll have more patience, your faith grows stronger and you'll laugh more often. Therefore, the next time you began grumbling and complaining over your situation, consider the one whose worse off than you. Consider these case scenarios:
I may be be sick, however, at least I don't have a terminal illness and wasn't sent home to die because there is absoultely nothing more the doctors or medicine can do for me. The fact that your health is reasonable good, your mind is sound, sharp and alert, you're not immobile - You are blessed and have much to be grateful for.
I may be unemployed but at least I don't live on the streets. In a word, you're not homeless. Those who have shelter, a bed to sleep in, food to eat, clothing to wear and a refreshing beverage to drink - You are blessed.
My family may have problems but at least I don't live with a parent(s) who are abusive, who constantly beat me, leaving my body bruised and scared while living in constant fear - Your family loves you enough to apply firm and loving discipline and teach you to have morals and godly values such as honesty, integrity nd respect, are good indeed. Parents who set the example to be accountabile and reponsible for your actions - parents who don't cheer you on when you are wrong while providing financially care for you - You are truly blessed.
You may have a job that you don't necessary like. Your boss doesn't have the best attitude. Perphaps, a co-workes(s) are difficult to work with. And you don't like your salary. The benefits are lousy. Beloved, at least you don't have to worry about being unemployed because "at least" you have a job. You're earning an income and some income is better than no income. You'e recieving some benefits and that's better than the individual who can't afford any health insurance. Think about those who have been unemployed for over a year, despite searching diligently and has recived one job rejection after another. You are truly blessed.
Whatever your situation may be....Before you pout again, just remember "at leat I don't" and be grateful for what you have. In every situation, (circumstances), be thankful and continually give thanks to God; for this is the the will of God for you in Christ Jesus. (I Thess. 5:18).
God Bless you and your family and have a Happy "Yummy" Thanksgivings!
