Salvation – A Priceless Gift for That One Soul

The gift of salvation is more valuable than any precious metal. One Hebrew word for salvation is 8668 tshuw`ah tesh-oo-aw' or tshuah {tesh-oo-aw'}; from 7768 in the sense of 3467; rescue, deliverance, help, safety, salvation, victory. (1)
As we approach the Easter season, I remind you that Christ already paid the ultimate price for our salvation. His love for us was so ridiculous, He thought it not robbery to relinquish His deity. The Lord thought so much of us, Jesus, who never sinned, humbled himself, and died for humanity. (Philippians 6:2-11). What Christ endured was painful, beyond what you or I deserved. He made this selfless sacrifice to save us.
Beloved, for such a selfless sacrifice, what will your response be? Do you believe that since He is Lord, you should never endure hard times? The sacrifice Jesus made does not make sense. Many think that if God is so good, bad times should never happen to them. However, how do you blame God when your afflictions are at the hands of yourself or another person? How many unwise decisions have you made that resulted in regrets? What did you contribute to that unfortunate season you experienced? (Romans 3:23)
If we were honest, we would acknowledge that some of our challenges occurred because we caused them. Sometimes, our faith in God was tested, though we did everything right. Still, because we accepted and not rejected that season, the Lord brought us out victoriously.
Beloved, nobody is exempt from suffering and hardships. John 16:33 reminds us that in this godless world, we will suffer, but the Lord has already overcome the world. When Jesus said this to His disciples, He knew they would desert Him. These words comforted and encouraged His disciples, reassuring them they would never be alone. In the Garden of Gethsemane, this happened. (Matthew 26:53-56).
Dear One, do not be overwhelmed by the fiery trials you will go through. The process of becoming a disciple of Christ will cost something of value. However, let your light shine so bright that it drives out darkness from everywhere you go. Never be ashamed to stand out from the crowd and make a difference. In a time when many see Christianity as irrelevant, we must declare the truth whenever everybody else wants to proclaim their truth. Beloved, always put God on a pedestal and show Him off to a world that desperately needs Him, although many do not believe. Do it for that one soul who will believe and accept God as their Savior.
