And I give them eternal life, and they will never, ever [by any means] perish; and no one will ever snatch them out of My hand. 29 My Father, who has given them to Me, is greater and mightier than all; and no one is able to snatch them out of the Father’s hand. (John 10:28-29, AMP)
God never promises us a life without pain, struggles, or challenges. However, He does promise that He will never abandon us. Dear One, whatever we go through, we are not alone, though in some seasons we feel as if God is nowhere to be found. These feelings could make us feel hopeless, even angry with God, while stretching our faith.
Beloved, it is in our darkest hours that the Lord has us in His hands, while shielding us from harm. He affirms that He is the Good Shepherd, who lays down His life for His sheep. He goes on to say that some are in the business of shepherding for only monetary gain. When they see the wolves coming, they will desert the flock.
In recent years, the wolves have come to cause us to fear, question the ability of God, and even test our faith. The pandemic, post-election stress, threats of losing essential benefits, unemployment, and even inflation have contributed to anxiety and mental challenges. Unfortunately, sheep without a Shepherd will be scattered, led astray, or even stolen. They might even blame God and may even curse the day they were born.
Still, Christ knows those who are His because His Father gave them to Him. He assures us that we can always depend on Him because no one can pluck us out of His hands. He is greater and mightier than any weapon that comes up against us. Dear One, no threats, or powers, things present, nor those to come, will separate us from His love.
So, no matter what happens, or powers to be, you must be fully convinced—beyond a shadow of doubt—that nobody can snatch you from His hands. He is impenetrable, our refuge, and strength, a very present help in times of trouble. Nothing they can execute will come near you because God is greater than he that is in the world. (Isaiah 54:17; Romans 8:38-39; Psalms 46:1).
