God Sits on the Throne

The Lord has established his throne in the heavens, and his kingdom rules over all. (Psalms 103:19, ESV)

Dear One, do not worry about who is in the office. Just know that God sits on the throne. The Lord is sovereign over all. Matthew 28:18 (AMP) assures us that all authority on earth and in heaven has been given to Him. His commands and judgments are just and pure. His love never fails, while His grace and mercy follow us all the days of our lives. And when we align our lives with His purpose and commands, we can approach His throne with confidence that He will help us in our time of need. (Psalms 23:6; Hebrews 4:16).

Despite how everything seems to be falling apart, as we submit to His will and authority, we can face difficulties knowing that God has already conquered the world. He is the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our afflictions and gives us rest for our souls. In trusting Him, we will be unshaken, assured, and deeply at peace. He has all dominion and power, does what He pleases, and no one can restrain His hands. (John 16:33; Daniel 4:34-45; 2 Corinthians 1:3-4). In His hands are power and might. There is no law, no policy, no order, nor governing power that can withstand Him.

Dear One, the Almighty is greater than your circumstances, has more provisions than your source of income, and far mightier than any weapon formed against you. Let us come and exalt Him, and not focus on who is in office, but God, who sits on the throne. He is the same God who got us through years past, and His grace is sufficient to get us through what looks impossible. (Isaiah 54:17, Psalms 34:3-5, ESV).

I pray the majestic song, Psalms 34, by Brooklyn Tabernacle Choir, brings you to your knees as you worship the Lord in spirit and truth.
