A Custom-Made Wardrobe Designed by God

Every season calls for us to wear the proper dress attire. For example, during the winter, from head to my toes, I am known to wear layers. I put on my hat, gloves, scarf around my neck, jacket, coat, boots, and a shawl over my coat. Would I put on such garments during the summertime? Absolutely not! However, to protect myself from the elements during the winter months, it is a sensible way to dress for going outside.
If we are so concerned about our physical well-being, shouldn't we be as cautious regarding our spiritual well-being? Dear One, in Colossians 3:12-14, ESV, the Bible lists the proper daily spiritual wardrobe to wear: As the MSG says, It is custom-made by God Himself.
Put on then, as God's chosen ones, holy and beloved, compassionate hearts, kindness, humility, meekness, and patience, bearing with one another.
Can you imagine a world where everybody dresses in designs with God's label on it every day? He crafts every stitch with our best interests at heart. We would experience such unity in our relationships, while the peace of God floods the nations. There would be no division among race, religion, the rich, or the poor, free or slave. Nobody gets left behind because God, the master designer, gave His only begotten Son, who so loved the world that whosoever believes in Him is cleansed by the blood of the Lamb. (John 3:16, AMP).
There would be no jealousy or contention because compassionate hearts would flow like a river. The world would thrive as one nation under God's sovereignty, because everyone treats everybody kindly. In other words, we practice putting the needs of others before our own because we are defined by God and not separated by division. (Philippians 2:3-4)
The Scripture also says, "If one has a complaint against another, forgiving each other, as the Lord has forgiven you, so you also must forgive. (Colossians 3:13-14, ESV).
So, we can choose not to complain? WOW! Wouldn't you enjoy just one day where nobody complains or magnifies all the bad things happening? Sweet, Jesus, I certainly would.
Dear One, let us strive to clothe ourselves in God's heavenly wardrobe with His label inscribed. Wear it daily as if we are on Heaven's Streets made of Gold, other than Hollywood's Red Carpet moment. Besides, it costs you nothing because Jesus has already paid it all. And there is more than enough for everybody. (Revelations 21:21; Romans 5:8)
Beloved, let it infest your heart, mind, and soul. Then, we can be content with doing something without applause or recognition, and quick to forgive an offense. Above all, cover ourselves in love because it covers a multitude of sins. (1 Peter 4:8, AMP). Adorning ourselves in these glorious garments of praise is imminent because the enemy desires to sift us as wheat. Dear One, the world is our runway to display God’s custom-made wardrobe, then He will be glorified. Who's with me? (Isaiah 61:3; Luke 22:31-32).
I pray this glorious selection, Come To Jesus by Brooklyn Tabernacle Choir, stirs your heart because for the pain that left you broken, He's waiting with open arms.
TIME FOR REFLECTION: Some believe it does not matter how we dress. However, what lessons does Colossians 3:12-13 teach us about our dress code? Let's Talk About It! Please share your thoughts in the comments below. Hit that heart and share. Thank you kindly!
