Salvation belongs to the Lord; your blessing be on your people! Selah (Psalms 3:8, ESV).
Prolonged seasons of hardships and uncertainties can cause discouragement and despair. If we are not patient, this can take us far from the presence of God. Beloved, during such times, it is vital that we are anchored in the solid rock and not buckle under fear. Likewise, the enemy will whisper all sorts of; lies in your ear to get you to give up. Still, he fails to show you there is something on the other side of what you are going through. There is something on the other side of the pandemic. There is something on the other side of your situation. There is a reason God has you waiting.
You still feel the effects of the pandemic because some residue is left behind. Still, something more valuable is on the other side of this. You still feel the effects of those challenging situations. Nothing even looks different to you. You thought a raise in income would have made everything better, but it has not. You were confident once; they lifted certain restrictions, it would increase productivity, but still, not as you thought because; now you have to deal with the horror of inflation. It keeps going from bad to worse, and any aid offered only brings temporary relief. You hoped things would have changed for the better, only to be placed in the Waiting Room for what seems like forever.
Beloved, despite all this, what’s on the other side is more precious than what you are enduring. And it is worth every moment you spend waiting, being frustrated, and overwhelmed. So, obstacles keep getting in the way to prevent you from getting to the other side. Likewise, there are unexpected challenges, overthinking, and jumping to wrong conclusions; all to get you to do something that stops you from receiving what God has for you. Then comes doubt and fear to make you anxious. The enemy knows; with an anxious heart, you cannot focus and experience the peace that surpasses understanding.
Though only God knows what awaits you, the adversary knows its worth exceeds anything you imagined. Satan is also aware of; how God blesses those who put their trust in the Lord. Likewise, he sees how God lavishes us with nothing but His absolute best. As it was with Job, He may ask, do they walk upright for naught? (Job 1:9). So, anything gets in the way that keep you going around the revolving door of despair. If he keeps you in that mindset long enough, he is sure you will give up.
My Friend, this is not the time to take matters into your hands but to persevere. If you only saw what God sees, it would; ease your troubled mind. Still, there are some things He will not show us because it is not His due season to reveal them. So, wait; I say, on the Lord, and He will renew your strength. (Isaiah 40:31). Resist impatience, and joy will come in the morning because our troubles are only temporary. (Psalms 30:5). God made a promise, and He will be with you. He will do above and beyond anything we ask or think. My Friend, victory is on the other side, and it is worth everything you will receive, no matter how long it takes to persevere.
I pray the musical selection; Joy Comes in The Morning by Church of the City stirs your heart to wait on the Lord.
Anytime something greater is on the other side, the enemy does everything to stop progress. What are some reasons; God allows us to end up in the Waiting Room during such a season?
