Be who God created you to be!
I’m here today, for such a time as this, to bring you to the realization that the real you - the person you really are—when you are crucified with Christ, you are free to be the real you!
When you were crucified with Christ, you should have killed that old sinful, carnal, fleshly nature and begun a spiritual journey with Christ. Through this journey, Christ will purify you. He will give you revelation knowledge of His word which will help you to mature in your walk with Christ. You will come to the realization that you can proclaim to that individual; “bump you”. In the time that I grew up, ‘bump you’ simply meant “later for you” because your negative opinion of me is meaningless and useless.
Therefore, when you are crucified with Christ, you can be free to be the real you! You see ~ God is omniscient—He knows everything about you. And when you’re masking who you are and you pretend in your relationship with God, it brings about a discomfort in the relationship. It creates tension!
The Lord insists on you being you. The most horrible things about you, God knows! The worst and the most unattractive behaviors and habits about you, God knows. His ultimate desire is to bring out the best in you. The Lord desires to abide in you.
Abode: home, mansion (14) ~ (John 14:23)—God wants to make His home within you. He desires to reside within you—Christ lives in you with the hope of glory.
God loves you! You mean the world to Him. Therefore, I no longer live, but Christ resides in me. He made His abode in me. Jesus dwells in me.
Stand Out From The Crowd
To be real in Christ, one must trust God. Thus, I compel you; I admonish you to be free to be comfortable with who you are in Christ.
You may be quiet and reserve—that’s OK with Jesus!
She may be out-going and out-spoken.
You may enjoy praising the Lord. And she may be a worshiper.
You may be loud and boisterous. Perhaps, she’s silly and goofy.
My Sister, just be comfortable with who you are in Christ! I’m not encouraging you to declare; “accept me as I am”. If there is some habit or behavior you need to change, I advise you to go to God and ask Him to help you in that area of your life and change.
If you have a nasty attitude and proclaim; “accept me just as I am”—News alert! I don’t have to put up with you and your nasty attitude.
If you are a chronic complainer and enjoy dwelling on the negative; you need help. (If it rains and the sky is gray, you allow the rain to dictate how your day is going to be). I don’t allow the weather to dictate how I feel. The joy of the Lord is my strength. My joy is contagious; therefore, I say to you, get a life and follow me as I follow Christ. In a word, whenever I appear on the scene I should effect change.
It’s time you dump the excuses into the trash and stop using “I’m not perfect as an excuse”. Jesus said to be perfect as I am perfect. He’s not speaking of sinless perfection. Jesus expects for us to become mature in Him. We mature in stages and you need to reach the level where you grow up and become a mature Christian.
My Identity Is In Christ
Too often, people are more people conscious than God conscious. You find yourself being ashamed of being yourself. And when you are with the “cliquey” Sisters, “Sisters of the click”, you act as though you don’t know anyone, anymore. For weeks, we’ve been praising and worshiping the Lord together. We spent time eating together.
We spent time talking over the phone and now your “cliquey” sisters appear on the scene and your attitude changes. And because I don’t fit into their social status, you draw back from me and treat me like I don’t exist. They have convinced you to join in with their hypocrisy—leading others astray. Thus, I ask you again, when you look in the mirror what do you see? What reflection do you see?
There was a time when you didn’t have a problem with me running up and down the aisle of the church. As a matter of fact, you would run with me! Now, your “clicky” sisters have you convinced that that’s so unbecoming—that’s so undignified. It doesn’t take all that. Besides, the Lord knows your heart.
I’m going to do as Paul did to Peter ~ I’ll oppose you face to face because you are clearly in the wrong. (Galatians 2:11-14).
Identity Theft: When you allow another person to mold, make and shape you into their image, it’s the equivalent of having your identity stolen. There’s more than one way for a person to steal your identity. When you allow another person to influence you to live up to their expectations you’re permitting that individual to steal your identity.
That’s Identity Theft! They’re controlling you and holding your mind hostage. They have you jumping when they say jump and all you ask is “how high?” They are using you for their own gratification. Also, they are influencing you through interjecting their thoughts, images, and reasoning into your mind. If you can take a person’s mind hostage, you can control their life. Don’t let anybody steal your identity! Beloved, Be who God created you to be! God Loves you and guess what?... So Do I! .
