Those vicious actions resulted in a period of unemployment that lasted almost four years, during which she experienced a persistent lack of income for nearly three years. This challenging season stretched her faith, but she never lost her praise. During her formative years in school, she often told her classmates, “Keep your eyes on Vernita because I can show you better than I can tell you.”

She understands that each year can usher in change and uncertainty. Over the past decade, we endured a global pandemic, political upheaval, and social unrest, and many even faced mental health challenges. How has all this impacted Vernita?
